Sunday, 12 February 2012

Have you taken the Challenge to Exceed Your Limits at the Marysville Lake Mountain Challenge?

Now is your chance to join hundreds of cyclists who will take to the roads around Marysville in the fourth annual Marysville Lake Mountain Challenge on Sunday February 26th.

Since its inception in 2009 there have been thousands of participants take part in the Marysville Lake Mountain Challenge. The 2012 edition provides a special opportunity to ride for a cause – Cancer Council Victoria & the Country Fire Authority will each receive $5 donations from every entry.

Local GP Dr Lachlan Fraser has been part of the last 3 events and stated, "The Challenge is a great way to immerse yourself in our scenic landscapes. The bush is rapidly regenerating and you'll see some enterprising developments in our towns and up at Lake Mountain Resort. It's a good excuse to go for a few training rides beforehand but it doesn't matter otherwise because you ride the circuit at your own pace. Your support helps keep this annual event going, bringing people to this spectacular region, boosting local community spirit and supporting business recovery."

This year’s events has also partnered with Lake Mountain Resort to provide ½ price entry to all entrants. Lake Mountain Resort provides lots of fun for the whole family with loads of great activities including flying foxes, dune buggies, laser skirmish, disc golf, jumping castles and much more.

Goldcross Cycles will also be providing FREE Smart Rider sessions to train in bike maintenance.

The time is nearly here. Entries close Feb 19th!
