Below is a quick guide to CSV  Competitive (Racing) Licence options and what they provide.

Full Competitive Licences

All categories based year of birth - see Licence Categories for more info.

Open Licences

• Enables participation in Cycling Australia sanctioned cycling competition (conducted by any affiliated State Federations or clubs).
• Provides eligibility to contest Australian Championships, represent Australia or apply for an International Licence.
• Provides Personal Accident and Public Liablity Insurance
• Valid to 31st December 2010.

Club Licences

• Restricted for use by remote regional clubs only at club-only events - No combine or opens. 
• Provides Personal Accident and Public Liablity Insurance
• Valid to 31st December 2010.

VIP Licences

• Open licence offered to cyclists who have not previously been licenced - No fees for cyclist. (Application through clubs only - requires CSV approval)
• Males under 19 and Women under 30 only
• Provides Personal Accident and Public Liablity Insurance
• Valid to 31st December 2010.
   

Introductory Competitive Licences

Kidz Licence     

• Licence targeting primary school age groups - U13 and below
• Introduction to cycling at club-only environment and covers skill based activity and modified competitive activity
• Only $10 (plus applicable club fee)
• Provides Personal Accident and Public Liablity Insurance
• Category based year of birth - see Licence Categories for more info.
• Valid to 31st December 2010.

3-Ride Permit    

• Temporary membership from start to finish of 3 events                                                                                 
• Restricted to Club-only events, (Club-combines with the approval of CSV)
• Upgrade option available - 3 ride permit fee credited against full licence fee
• Provides Personal Accident and Public Liablity Insurance
• Rider purchases 3-Ride Permit through club.             

Day Permit                 

• Temporary membership from start to finish of 1 event
• Restricted to Club-only events (club-combines with the approval of CSV)
• Provides Personal Accident and Public Liablity Insurance
• Rider purchases Day Permit through club.                    

6-Month                              

• Discount licence available from 1 July - valid to 31 December 2010
• Available for 'Racing' category membership only
• Provides Personal Accident and Public Liablity Insurance
• Fees released July 1.

Other

International     

• Full Racing Licence enabling participation in any UCI affiliated country
• CA issued: Available to members of CA, BMXA & MTBA
• Requires compulsory add-on of third-party, medical and travel insurance
• FEE: All applications and payments to CA directly.
