Hodges and Lane named to Australian Team for Junior Road Worlds
UCI 2009 Junior Road World Championships.
Kendelle Hodges (Brunswick CC) and Patrick Lane (Carnegie Caulfield CC) have been nominated to the Australian team for the UCI Junior Road World Championships being staged in Moscow, Russia from 7 to 9 August.
Hodges, 17, the reigning Australian and Oceania U19 IRTT champion, has been selected for both the road race and time trial.
Lane, 17, has had recent strong performances in the Mersey Valley Tour (NRS - Under 19 National Road Selection) and finished fourth overall in the Tour of the Southern Grampians and third in the Baw Baw Classic. He will contest the road race.

Selectors have also nominated Eric Sheppard (Carnegie Caulfield CC) and Stuart Smith (Leongatha CC) to a 'Reserve Team' of riders that will pursue National Road Series events. In the event of illness or injury any replacement required will be selected from the 'Reserve Team'.
