Weekly Training & Racing Opportunities at DISC

Casual training is available to current Cycling Australia members at just $5 per hour and track bike hire for $10 per bike.

Blackburn CC Training

Blackburn Cycling Club (BBN) runs a training session every Monday at DISC.

Each session is split into three groups and overseen by club accredited coaches.

Novice training starts at 6pm sharp (appointment only), Sprint starts at 6:30pm (roller warm up, on track at 6:45pm, BYO rollers) and Endurance starts at 7:00pm (on track warm-up). Please arrive at DISC 30 minutes prior to the start of your warm up. Expected finish is 9.30pm.

It costs $15 for senior riders and $10 for juniors (J17 & below) to attend, bike hire if necessary is an extra $10. (cash only)

Development Track - Intermediate / Advanced

6am-8am. $20 per session.

For cyclists who have been track cycling for an extent period and wish to further their development their racing skills. Must have attended a Thursday Novice session prior to advancing to the Intermediate group.

Masters Training:

10-12pm $10 per session

Designed for Masters membership holders only, who are looking to participate in organised training, followed by a coffee from the Bistro. Coordinated by Peter Wykes, a Level 1 Coach and Commissaire.

Brunswick CC Track Racing

Rider registration from 5pm with Junior racing from 6:30pm. Seniors warm-up and racing from 7pm.

All riders get three races including a scratch and a mix of motorpace, points, elimination, Keirin, pursuit and sprints depending on numbers.

Carnegie Caulfield CC Training

For experienced track riders from CCCC, the session if currently full and you will be required to contact the club first to apply before you are able to train. Read more.


Development Track - Novice

6am-8am $15 per session. $5 for bike hire.

For anyone wanting to try track cycling. No experience required. Minimum ride membership is required.

Northcote CC Track Racing

Rider registration and warm-up at 6pm Racing from 7:00pm for Moto Mayhem.

Track Torque

Track Torque Training sessions are open to riders from any Cycling Australia affiliated club (with no favourites). A Cycling Victoria initiative. Each Friday from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at ‪DISC‬, VIS Sprint coach Carl Ivan Brewer is running sprint and endurance training sessions for riders - male & female. Split sprint specific and endurance/general program alternating with some shared drills where appropriate. COST: $20 per rider


Development Track - Novice

St Kilda Cycling Club

9.00- pm  12:00 pm

The SKCC track program runs sessions at the Darebin International Sports Centre (DISC), where they provide participants with workouts for pre-race warm-ups and post-race warm-downs, plus they’ll work with you to develop your skills and confidence on the boards and in racing. Sessions are open to both SKCC club members and members of other clubs, and RSVPs are essential to determine numbers and for coaching and insurance purposes.

Brunswick CC Development Clinic

The Sunday Track Development Session at DISC is available to U17 and above riders from any club and is conducted all year round. From 8am to 11am, the program includes bike handling skills, racing tactics, speed and power work with a focus on track riding skills. Club bikes are available in a range of sizes. A session fee applies: $5 for Bruns CC members / $10 others. New riders are welcome, please contact the club in advance.

4-7pm on most Sundays (5-7 on track)
aboc Sprint sessions are open to anyone who wants to attend a DISC session that is 100% sprint.  A mix of strength, power, speed and skill development is at every session, and anyone wanting to do some sprint training is welcome to attend.  $22 to attend, riders must have their own track bikes with suitable tyres and be holders of at least a silver licence - details - contact Carl Brewer :
