VICS Entry Rules & Grading

Entry Rules

All riders that race in the 2016-17 VICS Series must hold a valid Cycling Australia Membership.

There are two membership options for new racers:

All memberships will be available on the 1st of October and will allow the rider to complete in the 2016-17 VICS Series.

Option 1 – U13 six month membership for $35 or a twelve month membership for $65

Option 2- U15, U17 and U19 six month membership for $65 or a twelve month membership for $120

All 6 month memberships will expire on the 1st of April 2017.

Riders must join one of the following 6 clubs:

  • Brunswick Cycling Club

  • Blackburn Cycling Club

  • Carnegie Caulfield Cycling Club

  • Hawthorn Cycling Club

  • Preston Cycling Club

  • St Kilda Cycling Club

Grading

All riders will be graded in the following categories:

Junior Male A/B/C/D

Junior Female A/B/C/D

Senior Male A/B/C/D

Senior Female A/B/C/D

Please note the number of grades will be determined by the number of entries.

Grading will be determined by previous results and teachers and rider recommendations.

Riders will move up or down grades depending on racing results.

All 6 month memberships will expire on the 31st of March 2017.

New riders competing in the VICS Series must join one of the following 6 clubs:

·        Preston Cycling Club
·        St Kilda Cycling Club


Entry Cost:

The cost for each event is $25, plus $.30 credit fee

The series pass is $150, plus $.30 credit fee, this includes entry to 7 events excluding Event 4.  

Details of Event 4 at Ballarat will be confirmed at a later date.


Grading

Entry

This year sees the introduction of a new entry system, EntryBoss. To enter for the V​ICS​, please click the button below or visit EntryBoss.

New riders, that have not received a license number from Cycling Australia after purchasing a membership, will need to follow the following steps.
On the sign up page where it says License type / Governing body please choose other, for the club please put Cycling Victoria and for the License number please put your email address.

Once sign in you can find all the V​ICS​ events via the races tab up the top left side of the screen, click on the drop box and click on the Victorian ​Inter-​School Cycling ​Series ​and you will be able to view all the events.
