A central goal of Cycling Victoria is to develop the sport of cycling throughout Victoria for the safety and enjoyment of its participating members. CV is committed to providing a sport and work environment free of harassment and discrimination. CV aims to ensure the core values, good reputation and positive behaviors and attitudes of CV are maintained. CV believes that anyone who works for it, and everyone with whom it deals, has the right to be treated with respect and dignity. CV will not tolerate any type of behavior, which will bring the sport of Cycling into disrepute, and this policy is an essential part of CV's proactive and preventative approach to tackling inappropriate behavior.
This National Member Protection Policy (policy) will work towards maintaining ethical and informed decision-making and responsible behaviors within our sport. It outlines our commitment to a person’s right to be treated with respect and dignity and to be safe and protected from abuse. This policy informs everyone involved in our sport [at the national level] of his or her legal and ethical rights and responsibilities and the standards of behavior that are required.
