NOTE: Australian Omnium Championships originally advertised to be held on Saturday 1 March 2008 at Vodafone Arena have been moved to be part of the Senior National Track Championships 4th - 10th February 2008.

Five International Teams for the Australian Madison Championship this Saturday The 2008 Australian Madison Championship will be hotly contested by 18 Australian and International teams. The excellent in-form Dutch combination of Roy Pieters and Geert Jan Jonkman coming straight from a succesful U23 European Six day race season and the sensational Argentinean pair of Sebastian Donadio and Juan Gaspari will test the abilities of the crack local pairings. The Canadian duo of Zach Bell and Svein Tuft, Americans Kenny Williams & Christian Meier and the Japanese team of Ken Ichiyama & Toru Yuasa will also be competing The Australian riders will be out to impress the National selectors as they are hoping to secure a ride as the Australian team for the Track World Championships in Manchester, England in late March. The pairs that will be trying to catch the eye of the selectors include the West Australian brothers Travis & Cam Meyer as well as Victorian combinations of, Leigh Howard & Glen O’Shea and Sean Finning & James Langendyk The program also has the Sid Patterson Grand Prix qualifying heats and final as excellent support events, featuring Local and International Competitors.
